We are recruiting for a Technical Sales Manager for our client. This position will be remotely based; however, you will be required to visit clients and potential clients around the North West area.
You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding the company’s customer base while proactively identifying new business opportunities. This role requires a strong understanding of the ground maintenance industry, the ability to provide product demonstrations, and a result-driven approach to sales growth.
Main Responsibilities
* Maintain relationships with the current customer base and proactively identify new customers.
* Convert sales opportunities to drive business growth.
* Develop sales within the primary business area by promoting company and partner company products to grounds maintenance professionals across all aspects of the grounds maintenance industry.
* Work closely with the Sales Director to identify and develop new business opportunities.
* Achieve agreed sales targets in terms of both turnover and profit margin.
* Provide expert product demonstrations and educate customers on product benefits.
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships, taking orders and identifying sales opportunities.
* Utilise company literature and promotional tools to maximise sales opportunities in collaboration with the Sales Director.
* Ensure timely follow-up on all customer interactions, maintaining accurate records of customer visits and actions taken.
* Provide market feedback on competitor activity, industry trends, and potential product or service improvements.
* Contribute to product development and marketing strategies when required.
* Maintain accurate records of customer visits and interactions, providing structured call planning and documented customer contact activity.
* Attend relevant training events, seminars, and exhibitions as required to enhance industry knowledge and sales effectiveness.

Other Skills and Requirements
* Full U.K. driving licence – this is an essential requirement.

* To be able to demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Office packages such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Salary: £40k plus commission, this can be negotiated. Company car provided.
