The role The Fund Controls Team within Investment Operations is responsible for the daily oversight of the Unit Linked Fund operation which is integral to the Phoenix Life Limited customer propositions. We’re looking for an individual who has a talent for solving problems and creating solutions. You will also like to work collaboratively in a team where building relationships with key stakeholders across the wider Phoenix Group and with external companies (including asset managers) is an important focus. Key responsibilities cover all activities in the lifecycle of the unit linked funds including: Providing input to define and shape requirements for transformation activities and strategic change initiatives. Providing input to support the oversight of the end-to-end unit linked fund operation. Duties are expected to include: Launching new unit linked funds on the insured fund platform to support the existing customer propositions Processing and managing corporate actions received from asset managers that impact the unit linked fund range Maintenance of existing legal agreements with asset managers Reconciliation of rebate and invoice payments Completing due diligence and AML requests from asset management groups and third-party vendors Update and administration of EFMA legal agreements as well as completion tax documents and other fund manager change request forms such as Coveralls, account maintenance etc. Manage and maintain relationships with our internal and external stakeholders What are we looking for? We're looking for someone with strong analytical skills and a solutions-oriented mindset; someone who can understand a situation by breaking it down and tracing the root cause and underlying implications in a methodical step-by-step way, with great attention to detail. You should also be great at organising, prioritising tasks and multi-tasking; taking pride and accountability for delivering high quality work, adopting a results-driven approach. This role would also suit someone who has experience of working adaptably with a variety of internal and external stakeholders; communicating key information clearly and effectively through a range of channels, and confidently present ideas, plans and share opinions. It would put you in good stead to have existing experience in a similar investment operations role, ideally in a Life Insurance Company, Asset Manager or Third-Party Administrator. We'd also prefer those with a background in fund administration but please note, this is not essential and training will be provided. We want to hire the whole version of you.
