Commercial Finance Lead - Innovation
We are seeking a Commercial Finance Lead with experience in the Innovation space to join our growth and innovation team on a permanent basis.
Here's What You'll Be Doing
We are seeking a Commercial Finance Lead to join our team in a new role to partner with the E.ON Innovation teams to help drive profitable growth through innovation across E.ON UK. In this role, you will be responsible for robust commercial evaluation of potential innovation projects, business cases and trials, to help identify, shape and improve good ideas. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial insights, challenge, and recommendations to drive sustainable and profitable growth.
Key responsibilities:
* Provide robust financial and commercial input, evaluation and challenge into potential innovation opportunities.
* Provide guidance on the design and delivery of trials and pilot projects to test the viability and scalability of innovative solutions.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance and outcomes of innovation projects and make recommendations for improvements.
* Provide transparency of delivered value across E.ON businesses linked to innovation and flexibility.
* Conduct forecasting, including the planning of costs and value streams across different business areas.
* Provide financial due diligence in agreements with third-party partners.
* Act as a trusted partner in the Innovation space.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to identify innovation opportunities.
What We Need From You
* You will be a qualified accountant with significant experience in commercial finance.
* Proven experience in commercial management, and in the innovation space.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively.
* Knowledge of the energy industry and emerging technologies is a plus.
