They are currently seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Social Sciences Teacher to join their dedicated Humanities faculty in a full-time, permanent position starting this September.
Position Summary
This is a unique opportunity to inspire young minds and cultivate a passion for the social sciences, including subjects such as sociology, psychology, and anthropology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and innovative curriculum, fostering critical thinking, research skills, and social awareness in students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver engaging and informative social sciences lessons aligned with the national curriculum and school's educational philosophy.
* Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, exploration, and inquiry.
* Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the Humanities department to develop and enhance the social sciences curriculum and extracurricular activities.
* Stay abreast of current research and trends in the social sciences, incorporating relevant and contemporary examples into your teaching.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Social Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, or a related field.
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
* Proven experience teaching social sciences at the secondary level, ideally across Key Stages 3 and 4.
