Job Duties:
1. Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their learning and development
2. Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing individual education plans
3. Providing one-to-one support to students with SEN
4. Helping students with personal care needs, if required
5. Assisting in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
1. Level 2 or above qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
2. Experience working with children with SEN
3. Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
Education:
Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Experience:
Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
2. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
3. Patience and understanding when working with students with SEN
Preferred Qualifications:
1. First Aid certification
2. Training in specific SEN areas such as Autism or Dyslexia
Working Conditions:
1. Working hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
2. Working in a school setting alongside teachers and other support staff
3. Potential exposure to challenging behaviours and personal care tasks
