What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you'll be based at Washington Old Hall located in Washington Village. Your role includes regular cleaning duties of offices and toilets, staff areas and replenishing stock where required You'll be working as part of the facilities team for the portfolio in Derwent, Wear and The Coast.
Souter Lighthouse, an icon of the North-East was the first lighthouse in the world designed to use electricity. Acquired by the National Trust in 1989, the machinery is in full working order, although no longer in use as a lighthouse. Surprisingly extensive inside, the complex now houses activity rooms, a shop, café and 2 holiday cottages. Visitors can learn about life as lighthouse keeper and climb the 76 steps to the top of the tower.
What you'll be doing
As a General Cleaner, you'll go out of your way for others and you’ll help to make our property an extra special place to visit. You’ll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning, ensuring all our facilities are kept in good working order. You’ll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the property by always implementing a ‘customer comes first’ attitude.
