SEN Teacher - Nuneaton
PK Education is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teacher to work within our Special Education Needs (SEN) school in Nuneaton that provides support to pupils aged 5-11 with autism and learning difficulties.
This position is to start in January - the role is a maternity position, lasting until the end of the school year.
The post is offered with a ranging daily rate dependent on experience from £175-£230 per day, working 8.30am to 3.30pm. The role offers an exciting opportunity to join a lovely SEN school with excellent facilities and a supportive leadership team.
The role is working with KS1 and has 11 pupils in the class, and you will have the support of 3 TAs in the classroom.
The successful candidate will have experience working with children in a SEN, school, or nursery setting. Experience working with children or adults with complex needs in a care setting is also appropriate.

You will have:
1. Recognised teaching qualification PGCE or equivalent (QTS).
2. Experience working with children with complex or SEN needs within the last two years, e.g., Care Home, Residential Care Home, SEMH School, or Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).
3. A passion for the development and learning of students with Social and Emotional Mental Health and a desire to make a difference.
4. The ability to work well with teachers as part of a professional team, supporting students with SEMH.
5. Willingness to build relationships with learners and understand what is behind their behaviour.
6. Able to work as part of a team and support the ethos of a school.
7. Experience of moving & handling (ideal not essential).
8. Comfortable with personal care.
