MCS Group is seeking a Junior Product Manager for a global software company with a long-standing presence in Belfast. Reporting into the Lead Product Manager (who has an impeccable reputation), the Junior Product Manager will work on an established, scaling software product in a business which has a fantastic reputation locally. The Role
* Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and refine the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
* Backlog Management: Maintain and groom the product backlog, writing clear and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria.
* Requirement Gathering: Conduct user research, competitor analysis, and gather feedback to inform feature development.
* Sprint Planning & Agile Processes: Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure smooth development cycles.
* Technical Collaboration: Work closely with .NET engineers to understand technical constraints, dependencies, and opportunities.
* Metrics & Performance: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and make data-driven decisions.
* Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support product launches, positioning, and messaging.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal users, gather feedback, and iterate on product features based on insights, working closely with engineering, customer success and UX teams.
The Person
* You'll have some degree of experience in product management (or as a product owner, or business analyst), ideally within a software company.
* Technical Understanding: Familiarity with software development concepts (SDLC), especially in a .NET environment (C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server).
* Agile & Scrum Knowledge: Hands-on experience working in Agile teams, with a strong understanding of Scrum methodology.
* Analytical & Data-Driven: Ability to interpret data, define KPIs, and use analytics tools (e.g., Tableau or Power-BI).
* User-Centric Mindset: Strong focus on user experience (UX) and ability to translate customer needs into valuable product features.
Up to £45,000 with a competitive benefits package.
