Job Role and Responsibilities:
• Design & Implementation: Develop secure, efficient, and compliant data collection systems, ensuring data quality and integrity through error identification and data cleansing.
• Data Management: Establish records management and reporting processes, implementing policies to maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Process Optimization: Automate data workflows and build efficient data pipelines to enhance data collection and processing efficiency.
• External Tools & Services: Identify, evaluate, and integrate external tools to support data validation and cleansing.
• Data Visualization: Create interactive reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI Desktop, ensuring they meet business requirements.
• Custom Charts & Reports: Analyze requirements and develop tailored visualizations to enhance reporting clarity.
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with various teams to understand reporting needs, ensuring data insights align with business objectives.
• Analytical Mindset: Utilize curiosity and analytical skills to deepen the understanding of data, performance metrics, and reporting capabilities.
• Query Optimization: Perform data analysis, refine SQL queries, and enhance reports for better efficiency and accuracy.
• Data Quality Assurance: Log and escalate data quality issues where necessary to maintain high standards.
• Team Contribution: Actively participate in team discussions, sharing insights and identifying improvements to workflows.
• Power BI Utilization: Design interactive and visually engaging dashboards, ensuring seamless data representation.
• Report Management: Develop, publish, and schedule Power BI reports in line with business needs.
• Performance Analysis: Conduct detailed evaluations of Power BI scripts post-deployment for continuous optimization.
• Database Connectivity: Connect to various data sources, import, and transform data for business intelligence solutions.
• Security Implementation: Apply row-level security and understand application security layer models in Power BI to ensure data protection and access control.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Experience: Minimum 4+ years in a Data Analyst or Power BI role.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Certifications: Must hold Microsoft Power BI certifications.
• Problem-Solving: Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
• Technical Expertise:
1. Proficient in Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
2. Strong SQL querying skills, ideally Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL).
3. Experience with Excel (modeling, formatting best practices) and other MS Office applications.
4. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure is a plus.
• Data Management:
1. Experience in developing SQL databases or data warehouses on PaaS platforms is ideal.
2. Strong background in data analysis, manipulation, and interrogation using SQL.
• Visualization & Reporting:
1. Expertise in choosing the right visualization techniques to present data and insights effectively.
2. Ability to develop clear, engaging, and interactive reports and dashboards.
• Communication & Collaboration:
1. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
2. Ability to translate complex data insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
3. Team player who works proactively and independently when needed.
