Software Test Engineer
As a Software Test Engineer, you'll embark on an exciting journey to ensure the quality of our embedded software and target device applications for electronic products!
Your mission will include not just show and distributor testing, but also providing stellar support for dealers and customers alike.
Key Responsibilities:
In line with product specifications, you will:
• Create software test plans to evaluate our audio products, identifying and resolving inconsistencies and issues independently.
• Collaborate closely with the software development team.
• Execute and document tests to ensure software compliance with specifications.
• Communicate with software developers and other teams to troubleshoot issues and enhance quality.
• Contribute to the development of innovative features and platforms, as well as perform regression testing on existing products.
• Plan software development and regression testing timelines, providing feedback to your manager.
• Ensure compliance requirements are met, including coordination with third-party testing facilities and compliance engineers.
• Partner with technical support and sales teams to address software inquiries and provide training on both current and new audio products in the streaming range.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise Education:
• A degree in audio or engineering is preferred.
• ISTQB certification is a plus but not required.
Skills:
• Highly organized with strong time management abilities, able to meet tight deadlines. • Flexible and proactive, with a positive attitude essential for the role.
• Capable of working independently and quickly adapting to new challenges.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify root causes and address performance issues.
• Proficient in PC applications, particularly Microsoft and Windows.
• Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience in software testing.
• Ability to identify issues, accurately log defects in a tracking system, and ensure they progress to resolution.
• Experience with networking and serial debugging.
• Familiarity with fault finding using a logic analyzer, oscilloscope, and multimeter is beneficial but not essential.
• Python scripting experience is a plus but not mandator
