Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am - 4pm
Friday 7am - 1pm
Hourly Rate: £18 - £22 per hour

Purpose of the Role:
As a CNC Turner, you will play a vital role in producing automotive components that support the vintage automobile community. Reporting to the Engineering and Production Manager, you will operate CNC lathes, set existing programmes, and utilise CAD software to programme new operations while ensuring the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a Haas CNC 4-axis turning centre to produce automotive components.
Set existing programmes and create new ones using offline and online programming methods.
utilise current SOPs, routings, and engineering drawings to deliver quality products efficiently.
Collaborate with the engineering manager and production team to optimise complex part manufacturing.
Conduct first-off inspections on your work and support the inspection function.
Troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues as they arise.
Manage material within the material stores and support production cost estimates.
Proactively suggest improvements in processes, tooling, routing, and drawings.

Desired Experience:
Previous experience in CNC machining.
A keen interest in the automotive industry is desirable.
Proficiency in Solidworks & CAMWorks is preferred.
Experience with machining castings and forgings is particularly beneficial.
