1st Team Physiotherapist - Women's Football
About us: Everton Football Club is one of world sport's most respected and revered names - a by-word for innovation, professionalism and community.
During the course of a glittering history spanning three centuries, the Club has been shaped and guided by its aspirational motto Nil Satis Nisi Optimum - nothing but the best is good enough.
One of only three clubs to have been a founder member of both the Football League and Premier League, Everton has played more games in English football's top flight than any other club.
While rightly proud of our rich past, and Goodison Park, our home of more than 130 years, we are now setting our sights on an exciting future at a state-of-the-art new stadium opening in summer 2025.
In doing so, we remain committed to developing and supporting teams across our Men’s, Women’s and Academy set-ups that inspire and continue to compete at the highest level of the game.
About the opportunity: A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen to work within our Women’s Medical department as First Team Physiotherapist, with day-to-day operations being focused on elite medical service, supporting both fit and injured players concurrently.
Reporting directly into our Head Physiotherapist, you will be a key member of the medical department providing high-quality physiotherapy services to the EFCW First Team. In collaboration with the medical team, you will assist with providing treatment, the delivery of rehabilitation and injury prevention programmes, the coordination of the medical services on match days and organising and implementing screening programmes, where required.
You will contribute towards the efficient and effective functioning of the department, influencing departmental strategies as well as supporting the coordination of physiotherapy services and medical arrangements.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for a talented and passionate individual who has at least 5 years' experience working within elite sport.
You must be able to collaborate within a multidisciplinary high-performance team environment and be flexible enough to adapt to any team schedule changes. You will be required to travel with the performance team to support our elite players through competitive fixtures, both home and away.
We need someone who possesses extensive knowledge and experience in creating and delivering individualised treatment and rehabilitation programmes demonstrating clear progression and RTP criteria.
You must have experience in testing, profiling, and screening of athletes and the ability to deliver on-field RTR and football specific rehabilitation sessions.
We are looking for someone who possesses the ability to work autonomously under pressure, but also as part of a multi-disciplinary team, that can maintain a high level of professional practice and behaviour.
