Hotel Financial Controller Job In Leeds, Responsibilities:
* Work alongside the GM, HODs, Management Company, and Hotel Owner, informing them of any Operational, Legal, or Financial aspects and changes of system, policy, and procedure prior to implementation.
* Ensure the accuracy of reports and financial accounts.
* Ensure all assets are accounted for and managed within the policies of the company and the owners.
* Maintain all expenses within the budgeted expenditure, reporting on any major variances that may occur with full explanations.
* Plan and manage the implementation of departmental training.
* Liaise with the Revenue Manager and Sales team to determine the yield strategy of the hotel.
* Monitor the correct billing of revenues, cash control, float balances, and credit balances of guests in-house.
* Implement and maintain accounting control procedures as required by the company.
* Manage and maintain the operational procedure and systems for the accounting office, purchasing, goods receiving area, stores, F&B cost control, payroll.
* Submit accurate reports within the agreed timescale, including daily and weekly reports, weekly controller report to Management Company, rolling forecast, monthly P & L accounts, audited year-end accounts, and annual budget pack.
* Manage and ensure accurate control systems are in place for Sales Ledger, Inventories, Cashiers, and other floats, bank deposits, reconciliations, movement of funds, outgoing and incoming cheques, payroll, foreign currency exchange, cashier overages/shortages.

* Experience within an accounts/finance position specifically within a hotel is non-negotiable.
* Experience of using Guestline PMS is highly advantageous but not essential to apply.
