Job Description:
Are you passionate about supporting children in their educational journey? Do you have the skills to inspire, motivate, and provide exceptional assistance to both students and teachers? Teaching Personnel are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and vibrant team on behalf of a school in the OL16 area.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting Learning: Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and ensuring all pupils achieve their potential.
2. Planning and Preparation: Help plan, prepare, and deliver effective and differentiated activities to cater to the needs of individual pupils.
3. Supporting Groups and Individuals: Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils, particularly those with additional learning needs or challenges.
4. Monitoring Progress: Observe, assess, and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
5. Behaviour Management: Support the teacher in promoting positive behaviour and creating a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
6. Administrative Support: Assist with the preparation of resources, maintaining classroom displays, and supporting in the day-to-day running of the classroom.
Ideal Candidate:
1. HLTA Qualification: Hold a recognised Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent, or be working towards one.
2. Experience: Experience working in a primary school setting is essential. Experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable.
3. Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, and the capability to support pupils effectively.
4. Passion: A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed in their education.
