Metallurgy Technical Specialist.

Atomising Systems Limited (ASL) is a family-based metallurgy manufacturing company, based in Sheffield. We are the world leading supplier of atomising technology and equipment, established in 1992 with over 40 years of experience in atomising technology and innovation.
We continuously develop and grow into emerging markets to meet the demands of the global powder industry. Our customers range from those requiring large volumes to test batches or production campaigns.
Job Purpose:
We need to strengthen our team of technical specialists responsible for overseeing the development of our atomising technology for metal powder production and assisting the production team in producing new metal powders to client specifications. You will also support the engineering function in designing plants for sale, training client staff in Sheffield and on-site during start-up.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with colleagues on data analysis and problem-solving.
· Collaborate with Engineering on designing new plant or modifications.
· Learn about metal, especially stainless steel, powder specifications and our in-house processes for producing them.
· Optimise process yields and economics.
· Make technical presentations to colleagues and customers.
· Produce technical reports for customers.

· Ability to learn complex operations – numerate with weights and measures.
· A keen eye for detail and appreciation of getting work done accurately and timely.
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience:
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metallurgy or related field with at least 5 years' experience in an engineering role.
· Proven track record delivering technical projects.
· Strong project management and organisational abilities.

· Starting salary £40,000 - £50,000 per annum D.O.E.
