Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a Sunderland-based primary school, supporting young learners aged 7-11.

With a diverse student body, English as an Additional Language (EAL) plays a key role in the school's inclusive approach, as pupils come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant and rewarding educational setting.
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 16:30 and is a long-term position.
The successful candidate will:
* Have a fully enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
* Have experience working in a transferable role
* Follow personalised curriculums and care plans to meet pupils' requirements
* Work with pupils on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings, communicating effectively
* Participate in the planning and implementation of the curriculum through lesson planning and delivery
* Set up lessons, equipment and activities within the classrooms
* Collaborate with teachers, therapists and other teams to create a holistic supportive environment for pupils
