Business Development Manager
Role Responsibilities
* Research into the solar and/or VO market place to identify potential prospects.
* Seeking new sales opportunities through outreach activity, including self-lead generation activities such as networking, referral generation, introductions, social media outreach, LinkedIn, and/or Sales Navigator activity.
* Setting up onsite or Zoom meetings with potential clients and conducting a solid fact-finding discovery meeting.
* Following up with prospective clients and completing a presentation meeting to sell.
* Updating and maintaining all activity in HubSpot CRM.
* Researching, reading, and keeping up to speed on the latest developments in the Solar and VO industry and marketplace.
* Maintaining appropriate activity levels to achieve and surpass agreed sales targets.
* Maintaining conversion rate levels to achieve and surpass agreed sales targets.
* Attendance at weekly team sales meetings and weekly individual calls with the Sales Manager.
* Develop and nurture relationships with clients, business contacts, networks, etc.
* Stay current with industry trends and activity of competitors.
* Refer any relevant information learned back to Head Office to help identify possible improvements to products and services and for the development of future products.
* Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and training programmes where stated.
* Encourage and support colleagues for the betterment of the business and to achieve continually better results for the team.
* Fulfil any additional business activities as requested by the Team Leaders or Managing Director.
* Be part of the culture, create and share the energy.
Requirements and Skills
* Proven experience as a Business Development Manager.
* Proven experience within the Commercial PV industry.
* Results and target-driven.
* Proficiency with HubSpot CRM preferred.
* Knowledge of Solar, VO, PPA preferred.
* Self-motivated and able to drive oneself to achieve agreed targets.
* Team player, approachable, friendly, and motivated.
Job Overview
To create and develop a database of prospective clients with a view to selling them the appropriate products from the Olympus Power range. This will involve setting up appointments, conducting a comprehensive fact-finding discovery meeting, and moving the prospective client on to a presentation meeting and the close.
You will be reporting your findings back to the business and liaising with senior management and the design team to confirm the viability of the installation.
You will maintain, nurture, and develop that relationship throughout the process, maintaining a good level of communication, answering any queries, handling any objections, and ensuring the safe delivery of the build.
You will update and maintain all activities in the HubSpot CRM for maximum transparency and clarity for all involved.

Please note: Whilst this is a hybrid role and we are searching nationwide for the right candidate, we have offices in Leeds and Exeter, and the successful candidate will need to visit the offices on occasion.
