About the Role: The Senior Interior Designer will play a pivotal role in bringing clients’ visions to life. They will be responsible for leading the interior design process from concept to completion on a variety of exciting residential projects. This will involve close collaboration with clients, architects, and the construction team to ensure seamless execution and exceptional results. This is a new role within the company, offering the successful candidate the chance to truly make it their own and contribute significantly to the growth of the interior design department. Responsibilities: The Senior Interior Designer will lead the design process for multiple residential projects, managing all phases from initial concept development through to final installation. They will develop and present creative and innovative design proposals, including mood boards, space plans, 3D renderings, and material specifications. They will collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and budgets, translating these into bespoke design solutions. They will prepare detailed specifications and schedules for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E). They will manage the procurement process, sourcing and selecting high-quality products and materials within budget. They will coordinate with architects, contractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of the interior design with the overall build. They will oversee the installation of FF&E, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards and within agreed timelines. They will stay up-to-date with the latest design trends, materials, and technologies. They will mentor and support junior members of the interior design team (as the team grows). They will contribute to the development and implementation of the company’s interior design strategy. Required Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field. They should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in residential interior design. A strong portfolio demonstrating a high level of design skill and creativity is essential. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budgets, is a must. A strong understanding of construction processes and building regulations is essential. Proficiency in design software, ideally Vectorworks, is desirable. Experience with other CAD software will be considered. Excellent knowledge of FF&E sourcing and procurement is required. A passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces is essential. A proactive and collaborative approach to work is necessary.
