The Salvation Army forms part of the Christian church and boasts an extensive social remit, providing a range of social and community services, including services for children and the elderly, those trapped in modern-day slavery, homeless people, individuals struggling with addiction, and people seeking employment.
Key Responsibilities:
Working within our busy homeless hostel (Lifehouse), as our ETE (Education, Training and Employment) Support Worker you will address our clients’ training and support needs, developing and offering a high-quality programme which promotes client choice and control, and empowers them to make positive life choices.
But this role is not just about using your existing knowledge to design and deliver training, or to run activities. With your previous experience of L&D and/or teaching, we also want you to:
1. Analyse the needs of our clients to ensure the most appropriate programme is offered
2. Build and maintain strong links with internal and external stakeholders to maximise on the ETE support clients can access
3. Review and measure the success and relevance of our ETE support
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
4. Level 3 qualification in related field or a willingness to work towards it
5. Experience of working in a learning & development or teaching environment
6. Genuine motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes.
