This role requires a strong corporate background and extensive experience in Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE). As a Senior Sales Manager, you will create a commercial plan that aligns with business objectives and outlines the actions and strategies to support the hotel's positioning. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, you will drive the strategic sales plan across the business, with a strong focus on Corporate and MICE. You will establish new business opportunities within the marketplace, promote awareness of the business, and increase visibility both nationally and internationally. Utilising this intelligence, you will develop strategic plans to ensure the hotel remains competitive in the marketplace.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify new business opportunities and markets within the corporate sector and MICE industry.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients and event planners.
* Conduct regular sales calls, site inspections, and presentations to prospective clients.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
* Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
* Provide regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and business development activities.
* Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms for the hotel and clients.
Experience:
* Previous sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on corporate clients and MICE.
* Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
* Strong understanding of the corporate travel market and MICE industry.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients and partners.
* Flexibility to travel as required for client meetings and industry events
