My client is seeking a Quantitative Analyst to join the prediction team, where you'll enhance predictive models, research new methods, and develop solutions using extensive datasets.
Your work will involve a mix of well-executed analyses and innovative modelling to address unique challenges in football analytics. You’ll have the freedom to explore your ideas and collaborate with a team of quants, developers, and analysts, combining technical expertise with football knowledge.
Professional experience working with the sports trading space is not a prerequisite, but a demonstrable interest in football / sports is.
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in predictive modelling, machine learning, and probability theory, preferably in sports or gaming/betting industries.
* Familiarity with techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation, Bayesian modelling, mixed effects models, Kalman filters, GLMs, and time series forecasting.
* Strong programming skills, ideally in Python.
* Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
Preferred Qualities:
* Understanding of expected value and utility principles in betting scenarios and project prioritisation.
* Practical problem-solving skills, balancing attention to detail with the ability to deliver MVPs quickly.
* Clear communication of complex models and analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Interest in football and sports analytics.
