We are looking for a Payroll Assistant to join the head office team based in Edgbaston, Birmingham for a UK wide company with 2500 employees.
* Monday – Friday 08:30 to 17:00
* Opportunity for Hybrid working – 3 days per week in the office

As a Payroll Assistant, you will be joining a fantastic team of 3 where you will support all payroll administration activities to complete both month end & year end payroll activities whilst maintaining compliance with internal and statutory requirements. This is an exciting role where you will join an experienced team, get involved with companywide projects, and use our in-house system to set up and manage new employee details. Our payroll team works in a fast-paced environment where you will need to have great attention to detail to maintain accuracy in your work.
As a Payroll Assistant, you will support our colleagues with payroll queries mainly over phone calls or emails; these calls could be about any part of the payroll process, so you will need to be a personable communicator with great problem-solving skills.
Payroll Assistant – Experience & Attributes:
* Experience of working with large payrolls
* Good knowledge of legislation and statutory regulations
* Great communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset
* A flexible approach and an ability to work under pressure
* Experience using ResourceLink (Zellis) is highly advantageous
