A multi-site business pioneering the way for UK processing of animal by-products and food waste are looking for a Maintenance Fitter. Since their establishment 52 years ago, they have been at the forefront of implementing eco-conscious methods. As a mechanical engineer, you would have the opportunity to work on innovative projects aimed at developing more efficient and sustainable methods for waste processing and recycling.You'd also be working as part of a seasoned and diverse team of engineeers to ensure that all equipment, plant, building and infrastructure are maintained.

What's the shift?
10. Multiple shifts available- days or nights, this is flexible based on what you'd like.
What would your day look like?
11. Collaborating closely with production to optimise the use of site assets
12. Ensuring existing site equipment operates at peak efficiency to maximise benefits
13. Contributing to the exploration of new manufacturing techniques
14. Taking initiative in enhancing energy and utilities efficiency to achieve cost savings, while also meeting production demands
15. Engaging in cross-functional teamwork to maintain a consistent and adaptable approach to ongoing improvement
16. Ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with safety protocols
17. Following the planned preventive maintenance (PPM) system diligently and punctually
18. Fulfilling all necessary statutory documentation requirements.
What are we looking for?
19. Mechanical engineering background
20. Sound grasp of health and safety regulations.
21. Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
22. Experience in manufacturing or process operations, demonstrating proficiency in planned preventive maintenance (PPM)
23. Fault finding skills
24. Able to collaborate effectively within a team and independantly.
25. Highly motivated and willing to pursue additional personal development supported by the company
