Job Summary : Skyline Whitespace is seeking an experienced and motivated Stand Builder to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and installing bespoke exhibition stands for clients across a range of industries. Working from detailed design plans, you will play a vital role in bringing our clients’ visions to life, ensuring each stand is built to the highest quality and safety standards. This role is ideal for a skilled builder with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and passion for craftsmanship in the fast-paced world of live events and exhibitions. Key Responsibilities : Stand Construction & Assembly : Build custom exhibition stands in the workshop and on-site, following detailed blueprints and specifications. On-Site Installation and Teardown : Set up stands at event locations and dismantle them post-event, ensuring minimal wear on components. Quality Control : Conduct quality checks to ensure that all stands meet Skyline Whitespace's standards for design accuracy, structural integrity, and finish. Collaboration with Design & Project Teams : Work closely with designers, project managers, and other production team members to deliver high-quality builds that align with client expectations. Tool & Equipment Maintenance : Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in safe working condition and promptly report any issues to the Production Manager. Health & Safety Compliance : Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of materials, safe operation of tools, and site safety practices. Who We’re Looking For : The ideal candidate is: Experienced in Construction : Has hands-on experience with construction tools and techniques, ideally within exhibition stand building, carpentry, or a similar field. Detail-Oriented : Able to work with precision and follow complex design plans to deliver flawless results. Physically Fit and Stamina-Driven : Comfortable with the physical demands of the job, such as lifting, assembling large structures, and standing for extended periods. Team-Oriented : Communicates effectively and works well with others to meet tight deadlines. Dependable and Punctual : Reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the team and project timelines. Preferred Qualifications : Prior experience in the exhibition or events industry. Driving licence is essential Knowledge of different construction materials (e.g., wood, metal, plastics). Proficiency with power tools, hand tools, and safety equipment. Ability to read and interpret design drawings and measurements. Working Conditions : On-Site and Workshop-Based : This role requires both on-site work at various event venues and workshop-based preparation. Fast-Paced Environment : Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, especially during event setups and teardowns. Travel Requirements : Willingness to travel to event sites as needed, with occasional overnight stays.
