We are expanding our permanent workforce and we are looking for Machine Operators to join our manufacturing site in Darlington. Operating our machinery, you’ll manufacture kitchen products for our customers such as panels and frontals. You’ll have the ability to operate our machinery safely and inline with our production plane along with understanding KPI’s and the impact of downtime. These roles are working 3 week alternate rotating shifts - earlies (6-2), lates (2-10) and nights (10-6) In return we offer the following: An opportunity to join a large organisation with lots of progression opportunities. Starting salary (depending on experience) is £11.44 p/h, after successfully passing your training you’ll rise to £12.37p/h with further potential as you work your way up the grades. In addition to your basic hourly rate, you will also receive the following shift allowance: Rotating shifts at 16% and 30% for a night shift, with overtime rates at 1.5 and double time. We have 3 levels of Machine Operators: Trainee Machinists (£11.44ph) - with a training plan to hit Grade 3 and 4 Grade 3 (£12.37ph) - core skills as a grade 3 machinist would be the ability to make machine adjustments were required (tooling adjustments, capable of reading CAD drawings) Grade 4 (£12.87ph) - core skills as a grade 4 machinist would be the ability to make machine adjustments were required (tooling adjustments, capable of reading CAD drawings) tooling removal, installation and setting on woodworking machinery. Capable of creating machine programmes for required customer orders Grade 5 (£13.38ph) - core skills as a grade 5 machinist would progress from Grade 4 with the ability to make machine adjustments as required (tooling adjustments, capable of reading CAD drawings) tooling removal, installation and setting on woodworking machinery. Capable of creating machine programmes for required customer orders.
