Shop Manager

Our first shop was opened in Holland Park in 1985 by entrepreneur Peter Rich, and we have now grown to 10 award-winning shops across London, five of which also sell fine foods. Our focus across all channels is to provide our customers with exciting, delicious products and outstanding customer service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable, and people-oriented individual to lead our team at Holland Park fine food and wine store.
As the Shop Manager, you will be the heart of our store, inspiring, supporting, and retaining a team of passionate staff while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The kind of person we're looking for has experience in managing people, is organised, enthusiastic, and has a genuine love of fine food with a customer-first approach.
Skills and Experience
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a retail manager, including people management of a team of five or more.
2. A positive and caring attitude for nurturing and maintaining an energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate team.
3. A love and passion for fine food and wine.
4. Excellent customer service.
5. Strong organisation skills.
6. Team player, able to share tasks according to team strengths and make everyone feel valued.
7. Numerically competent with a strong focus on revenue and margin.
8. Skilled relationship builder with customers and staff.
9. Clear communicator.
Main Responsibilities
1. Create and maintain conditions for high performance and motivation.
2. Recruit, onboard, train, and support the team to deliver an engaging customer experience and business goals.
3. Train the team to deliver the Jeroboams customer experience - utilise the Jeroboams Learning Academy to ensure all team's development needs are met.
4. Monitor that business KPIs are in line with goals, set follow-up action plans for the store, and update the Area Manager with relevant market trends.
5. Deliver business goals as defined with the Area Manager (Customer experience, Sales, Visual Merchandise).
6. Guarantee that the store is compliant with all Jeroboams policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full time 42.5 hours per week over 7 days on a rota basis.
