We are recruiting for an experienced IT Infrastructure & Security Manager on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for an IT professional with a passion for infrastructure and cyber security to step into a leadership role and play a key part in shaping the future of the organisation’s IT environment. The role is based near Driffield, East Yorkshire, and is full-time, Monday to Friday. It offers a competitive salary of £52,000–£55,000, depending on experience. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting robust core technologies while leading a high-performing Infrastructure & Operations team. Reporting to the Head of IT, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, maintaining security, and ensuring the organisation’s technology landscape meets both current and future business needs. This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring a combination of technical expertise and strategic vision. It’s ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Infrastructure team, fostering a culture of knowledge-sharing, service excellence, and continuous improvement. Strategic Planning: Create and own the infrastructure roadmap, introduce emerging technologies, and ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards. Project Management: Oversee all infrastructure projects, including budgets and reporting, to ensure successful and efficient delivery. Security Management: Protect digital assets by managing security, disaster recovery, backup systems, and compliance processes. Infrastructure Optimisation: Monitor, maintain, and optimise on-premises and cloud-based IT infrastructure to ensure stability, reliability, and scalability.The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a proactive, innovative approach. Essential Skills & Experience: Proven experience managing IT infrastructure and security operations, with a track record of effective team leadership. Advanced technical knowledge across Networking, Cloud Hosting, Domain Services, Virtualisation, Endpoint Protection, and the Microsoft 365 stack. Strong understanding of Cyber Security technologies, principles, and compliance requirements. Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Desirable Skills: Relevant qualifications, such as Microsoft, VMware, or ITIL certifications.
