Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Conveyancing Paralegal to join their Residential Conveyancing team on a permanent basis.\n\nThe ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate their organisational skills and prioritisation of work. Be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure in a team environment, being flexible, proactive and using their initiative at all times.\n\nThe role\n\nTo liaise with the Department Managers and Department Head to establish daily responsibilities\n\nTo perform daily tasks which include:\n\nFiling of post and files\n\nProduction of work using the Office Management System, including but not limited to:\n\nTaking telephone messages for Managers and liaising with clients as appropriate\n\nChecking and working in accordance with task list and diary reminders\n\nEnsure that work produced is signed off and post ready for 4pm\n\nAssisting clients in supplying identity documents\n\nSending payment links\n\nInitial contact with mortgage lenders\n\nAssisting clients with completing initial forms and preparing and issuing draft contracts on sales\n\nContacting sellers Solicitors to provide draft contracts and initiate searches\n\nMeeting clients to take messages or arrange appointments\n\nSupporting the Firm with brand awareness activities, including networking, events and content\n\nfor the website and social media channels\n\nGeneral\n\nAssist with departmental compliance of anti-money laundering regulations and quality\n\nprocedures in accordance with Quality Procedures Manual\n\nEnsure a high standard of file management and awareness of essential procedures such as\n\ntime recording, cost estimates and invoicing\n\nObservance of procedures in accordance with the Office Manual and conditions of\n\nemployment\n\nEnsure own compliance with Health and Safety regulations\n\nTo maintain and where possible, improve all office standards\n\nTo provide cover for other paralegals /assistants during their absence\n\nTo attend office / department meetings and training sessions as required\n\nRequirement\n\nGood standard of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail\n\nPleasant manner, flexible and co-operate\n\nAbility to work on own initiative and take responsibility for quality of work\n\nGood time management skills\n\nExcellent client care\n\nGood communication Skills\n\nGood typing skills (audio /copy)\n\nFlexibility in support of other members of staff\n\nDue to the large number of responses we receive it is not always possible to respond to every application straight away.
