Day Shift: 07.15am-09.15am & 8.00am-10.00am
We are looking for a kind, caring, and enthusiastic individual to join our care team and provide support for a 14-year-old boy who has complex needs, including epilepsy and learning difficulties. He is a loving and cheeky little boy who is adored by everyone who works with him. He enjoys accessing the community, going to the park, snacking on Jaffa cakes and sweet treats, playing in the garden, and having fun on the swing set.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for becoming a carer, and be reliable, committed, and eager to make a positive difference in his life. Experience of caring for children with complex needs is desirable but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
Responsibilities:
1. Assisting with personal care, including showering and dressing.
2. Feeding and assisting with daily medication.
3. Supporting with his daily routines and activities.
Shift Patterns:
1. Part-time, 10 hours per week (two hours each morning, Monday to Friday).
2. Shift times: 7:15 am to 9:15 am during term time, 8 am to 10 am during school holidays.
3. Additional shifts may be available to cover holidays, sickness, or other team members' leave.
4. We are seeking individuals who can offer flexibility, with potential for additional shifts during evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
5. There may be opportunities for more regular shifts for the right candidate in the future.
Requirements:
1. A genuine passion for working with children and providing care.
2. Reliability, commitment, and flexibility.
3. Ability to get to Great Notley, Braintree for your shifts (driving is not required).
4. Previous experience in caring for children with complex needs is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.
