Inspire the Next Generation of Electricians – Join Our Growing Engineering Department!
We’re excited to launch brand-new Electrical Installation programme at Level 2 and Level 3 – and we’re looking for a passionate, skilled, and motivated Lecturer in Electrical Installation to join our team and help shape the future of electrical training in our region.
Key Responsibilities
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a strategic initiative designed to meet the growing demand for skilled electricians in our local community. You’ll play a vital role in delivering practical, industry-relevant training that prepares learners for rewarding careers.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* A minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (City & Guilds or equivalent)
* Industry experience in electrical installation (essential) — ideally with up-to-date knowledge of the current regulations (e.g., 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, NVQ Level 3).
* A recognised teaching qualification at Level 5 or above – or a willingness to work towards one.
Teaching Qualifications & Salary Banding
Please note that, due to the specialised technical and industry skills required for this role, we may be able to offer a competitive SPOT salary aligned with industry standards. This would be outside the unqualified pay banding and would be subject to our support in helping you achieve a teaching qualification.
To be eligible for our Qualified Lecturer salary banding (£30,583 - £46,263), you must hold one of the following teaching qualifications:
✅ Accepted Qualifications:
* DTTLS (Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* Certificate in Education
* PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education)
* DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
* DiT (Diploma in Teaching) – if for a vocational subject
If you do not hold one of the above qualifications, you will fall into our Unqualified Lecturer salary banding (£25,611 - £28,817).
❌ Not Accepted as Stand Alone Qualifications:
* PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* CTLLS (Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector)
* CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults)
If you have any questions regarding your eligibility, please get in touch.
