Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Middlesbrough Salary: 84-108 Start: As son as possible A "good" primary school with "outstanding" behaviour in Middlesbrough is looking for two passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team. One role will involve working 1:1 with a small group of SEN pupils, while the other will support a busy Key Stage 2 class. About the Role: The school is seeking teaching assistants who are available full-time (Monday to Friday) and have a strong passion for working with students who have additional needs. While primary experience is ideal, the school is also open to applications from recent graduates or teaching assistants with secondary or SEN experience. Main Duties of a Teaching Assistant: Support pupils in their education, either 1:1 or in small groups. Manage behaviour effectively. Assist with interventions to support pupils’ progress. Work closely with the class teacher to support planning and delivery of lessons. Use formative and summative assessment to track pupil progress. Promote independence in life skills. Ensure a high standard of safeguarding and pastoral care. The Ideal Teaching Assistant Candidate Will: Be available to work Monday to Friday. Have experience or an understanding of supporting pupils with additional needs. Be proactive, energetic, kind, and caring. Hold an enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one).
