SITE MANAGER (CARETAKER LEVEL 2) - CWRT RAWLIN PRIMARY SCHOOLPERMANENTRequired: 14th April 2025GRADE 4, LEVEL 2 21 hours per week2 - 6pm daily Monday to Friday (20 hours)4 hours over two Sundays per month The role also requires the Site Manager to open and close the school two Sundays per month - the school would need to be opened at 3pm on a Sunday as part of a rental agreement. The Site Manager would then be required to return to school at 7pm to close the school following the rental period. The Site Manager would be contracted to open and close the school two Sundays per month. * Occasionally, the needs of the school will change (e.g. Open Evenings, PTA events, evening concerts etc.) so some flexibility will be needed to amend the above hours as necessary. Please also note that the Site Manager will be required to attend out of hours call outs (rare occasions, but, for example, should an alarm go off). The Governors of Cwrt Rawlin Primary School wish to appoint a new Site Manager who will maintain high standards and health & safety of the building and school environment. We are looking for a proactive Site Manager who is able to work practically on a day-to-day basis, someone who can particularly turn their hand to all things practical - building, painting & decorating and supporting the overall DIY/ fixing aspects of running a school. We are looking for a person who:Has experience of building maintenance;Understands fire safety and has a general knowledge of health and safety;Has a committed, flexible and reliable attitude;Has an ability to work independently and as part of a team;Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively;Has high expectations of personal and others’ safety, especially of pupils;Has excellent DIY skills, ready to undertake general repairs and maintenance with confidence;Is willing to go ‘the extra mile’ for staff and pupils;Is a committed and efficient worker who will be able to be flexible, use their own initiative and be proactive in solving problems;Has the ability to contribute to the security, safety ad day-to-day running of the school premises ad site;Is prepared to undertake any relevant training.
