The Company One of OXBO's best clients, a UK-wide multi technology (Solar, BESS & more) IPP, are looking to add a GIS Manager to play a key part of the company's development team. You will play a crucial part in the development of Solar & BESS (& more advanced technologies) projects by carrying out initial site screening, constraints mapping, and managing the portfolio database information for the company. The Role Mapping of projects both high level and local to provide solutions in support of the Development team in the process of site feasibility and development. Providing solutions to enable potential site selection based on spatial analytics. Providing map-based reports used across the organization. Supporting the development of site plans for planning and legal purposes. Managing of database systems and tracking progression of the portfolio of sites across the business. To provide input on the wider use of GIS across the organisation in the support of development and operational sites. Developing Software as a Service solutions for strategy development and integration with other services used across the company including the company website and intranet. Developing integrated solutions with third party GIS specialists. Co-ordination and management of mapping procurement, in conjunction with the in-house CAD team. Requirements Experienced at using the full suite of ESRI products including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGis Pro and ArcGis Online. Competent in scripting and modelling processes within the ESRI environment including use of Python. Competent at creating web-based mapping solutions. Experience of working with data sets using OS Mastermap, Land Registry data and multiple environmental data sets. Knowledge and use of QGIS and Google Earth Pro and delivering data sets for use in these products. Knowledge of the electricity, gas and water networks would be an advantage. Knowledge of data visualization software (especially Power BI) would be an advantage Knowledge of AutoCAD would be an advantage. Good time management and planning skills essential
