Repairs Manager – Gas

One of our corporate objectives is to provide warm, secure and most importantly safe homes for our customers to live in. We need a Gas Manager to make this happen.
The Role
You will line manage a team of qualified gas engineers, multi-skilled trades operatives, and a gas scheduler, taking responsibility for decision-making and the operational management of the team to deliver bdht’s domestic and gas commercial servicing program and general gas and multi-trade repairs, including a gas out of hours service.
We expect customer care to be central to what you do, maintaining high standards, and communicating effectively. Our customer base is diverse, and we expect our services to adapt accordingly.
With a working knowledge of Health and Safety, you will carry out all duties whilst adhering to bdht’s safe systems of work.
Using the organisation’s housing management system, you will produce and validate the annual gas servicing program and schedule the appointments as well as ensuring the stock condition database is kept up to date.
You will also be required to provide written reports to the Senior Management Group, maintaining and presenting statistical records for reporting.
About You
You may have previous management or supervisory experience, or this may be your first step into a management role.
You will have experience working within a gas delivery service, ideally within the social housing sector, and an understanding of gas compliance responsibilities.
You will need to hold a gas management qualification (NVQ level 3 in gas management or similar) or be willing to achieve this within the first 2 years.
You will also need to hold the following Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HRT1.
You will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, tailored to meet the needs of a diverse client base.
The post-holder will hold a current full driving licence and will need access to a vehicle.
