Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Surveyor to manage maintenance and construction projects across a corporate property portfolio. This is a key role where you will oversee planned and responsive maintenance, refurbishments, adaptations, extensions, and alterations, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities: ·Oversee maintenance and construction projects, including refurbishments, extensions, and alterations. ·Manage multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. ·Provide expert advice on the design of refurbishment or new build projects, integrating effective maintenance strategies. ·Prepare bills of quantities, schedules of work, and estimates for building works. ·Manage valuations, accounts, and payment processes for ongoing and completed works. ·Conduct site visits, inspections, and liaise with contractors throughout the project lifecycle. ·Contribute to the development and implementation of the Corporate Asset Management Plan. ·Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including CDM regulations.
Requirements: ·Proven experience in project surveying, managing both maintenance and construction projects. ·Strong knowledge of building contracts, construction processes, and maintenance practices. ·Familiarity with asset management, budget preparation, and contract documentation. ·Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. ·Excellent communication and negotiation skills, able to liaise with contractors, public stakeholders, and other departments. ·Proficiency in using property management software and systems. ·A relevant degree or professional qualification in surveying or a related field.
