Gors Community School is a vibrant and happy school located between the Cockett and Townhill area of Swansea. The school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and approach to mental health and wellbeing. We are a Restorative Practice and a Rights Respecting School, seeking an outstanding individual to join our caring and motivated team of professionals.
The role will initially be based in a class in Progression Step 2/3; however, the candidate should be prepared to teach across all ages as the needs of the school change.
The right candidate would be required to start from 3 March 2025, possibly sooner. The salary will be subject to a term-time only adjustment for employment commencement outside of the start date.

4. Be an excellent communicator, able to inspire and motivate others.
5. Have effective ICT skills and use digital technology to enhance learning.
6. Be willing to take on an area of responsibility, ideally Expressive Arts.
7. Be committed to their professional development and demonstrate initiative.
8. Embrace the use of Welsh language and inspire children to learn and use Welsh.
9. Have a clear understanding of inclusion and ALNET.
10. Able to deliver outdoor learning and authentic experiences in their teaching.
11. Be willing to provide learners with extra-curricular activities.
12. Be innovative and contribute to the overall development of the school through self-evaluation and action planning.
13. Understand the role of the Governing Body and proactively communicate school priorities.
14. Have full regard to the National standards of teachers and leaders.
15. Be well-organised and highly motivated.
16. Understand the challenges of working in a school with a large Pupil Deprivation Grant and a high percentage of children with English as an additional language.
17. Have a great sense of humour and contribute openly to all aspects of school life.
