Working for your organisation The East GMSA is an Alliance Partnership between Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Norfolk and Norwich University NHS Foundation Trust, University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. While recruitment for this role is being coordinated by CUH, the successful candidate will be employed by and located at the nearest NHS Trust Alliance Partner within the East GMSA. Please note: Your full application details will be shared between the four Partnership Trusts, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH), Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (NNUH), University Hospitals Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). aligning to the NHS Genomics Strategy, setting strategic direction of the NHS GMS Alliance along with Senior Leadership Team, including supporting delivery of the NHS GMS Alliance business plan. driving forward research and innovation across the NHS GMS Alliance region working with a range of stakeholders and partners. working closely with the East GLH on an aligned research and innovation strategy for the East Genomics region. working with the Genomics Innovation Directors across each NHS GMS Alliance, as well as NHS England and key stakeholders, to align research and innovation activity and to develop a national plan of action. coordinating and driving the NHS Genomic Networks of Excellence that the NHS GMS Alliance is engaged with, including working closely with the leadership of the NHS Genomic Networks of Excellence and other key opinion leaders in the national and international genomic ecosystem. supporting the development of the NHS GMS Research Collaborative. advising and reporting at a senior level on NHS GMS Alliance research and innovation activity including at the NHS GMS Research Collaborative, the East Genomics Executive Board and the NHS GMS Alliance Partnership Board. assessing the viability and impact of innovations on the GMS's priorities, such as health inequalities. coordinating the NHS GMS Alliance input into life sciences initiatives, including the Genomics England spending review initiatives, such as the Generation Study, Cancer 2.0 and Diverse Data programmes; and driving the NHS GMS support for and recruitment to clinical trials, including understanding the active clinical trials with a genomic need within the region and nationally; understanding the capacity and capabilities within the region and nationally to support clinical trials; facilitate access and identifying relevant patient cohorts for clinical trial enrolment; supporting the establishment of genomic enabled clinical trials with research partners. ensuring that all staff managed by the postholder undertake individual performance appraisal, operate within the appropriate Human Resource policies, take up appropriate and required training plans, and contribute to workforce.
