Location: Watford (Nationwide travel required)

About the Role
Our client is a fast-growing £3M turnover security business looking for a driven business development manager to establish and lead a dedicated sales function. With a revenue target of £750K - £1M, this role requires a self-motivated professional who can work independently, develop sales strategies, and push the business forward.
Key Responsibilities
1. 100% new business focus - drive sales and secure contracts within the security sector.
2. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan targeting key clients.
3. Work closely with leadership to establish and expand the sales function.
4. Sell manned guarding services and security towers.
5. Collaborate with tele-sales support to maximize lead generation.
6. Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
7. Identify market trends, competitor activity, and new business opportunities.
Ideal Candidate
1. Proven track record in a business development role within the security industry (guarding and/or technology-based security solutions).
2. A true hunter - highly self-motivated and driven by results.
3. Strong network within the security sector, capable of bringing in immediate business.
4. Comfortable working independently and setting up a sales function from scratch.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
6. Ideally based in Watford, but open to candidates willing to travel nationwide.
