Are you looking for Research & Development opportunities within the Biotechnology and Life Science Industries? A fantastic opportunity to join a growing Biotech company based in York has recently come available.
As a Research & Development Scientist, you will be responsible for supporting the development of lateral flow related projects from the point of feasibility through scale up into manufacturing. As well as overseeing and planning the work of scientists.
Your responsibilities will include:
Create project experimental work plans to complete work timely in-line with the project manager and Senior R&D Management.
Use your subject expertise and disseminate that knowledge to the team. Understand the lateral flow assay design and development process to identify improvements in the technical methods used in the development process.
Review and approve R&D scientist reports and data generation for presentation to external sources.
Working with colleagues across R&D, Manufacturing, quality and regulatory to ensure projects are completed properly.
Prepare and present data as and when required, analysis of results and generation of data using excel / other statistical packages.
Prepare written SOPs for laboratory methods, procedures and instrumentation.
Assist in the generation of marketing materials.
Understand the requirements for the project design history files (DHF) and actively work with the Project Manager to ensure the DHF technical requirements are audit ready.
Reviewing experimental writes ups to achieve consistent quality and meet all QMS requirements.
Ensure training record is up to date and help to train new starters where appropriate.
Maintenance of equipment / processes as the department requires.
Participate in audits when required as well as supplier meetings and discussions.
About you:
You will hold a relevant Scientific degree.
Excellent data analysis skills, as well as great attention to detail.
Knowledge and competency in using Microsoft and other software.
Ability to work in a regulated environment.
Demonstratable knowledge of immunoassays and other technologies.
Effective attention to detail.
Prior R&D experience within a similar industry.
