We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Lead Practitioner for SEMH to join our team and take a lead on fostering emotional well-being, academic progress, and a nurturing environment for all our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the SEMH provision within school, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, individualised support for pupils with SEMH needs.Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and other professionals to ensure SEMH needs are met across the school.Develop and implement tailored strategies and interventions that support the social, emotional, and mental health needs of pupils.Liaise with the inclusion team, ensuring that all pupils receive holistic, wraparound support.Promote inclusion within the school community, ensuring that SEMH pupils are fully integrated and supported in mainstream classes.Drive high expectations for both academic achievement and personal development for all pupils.Be a visible and supportive presence within the school, working in collaboration with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. Act as a Designated Safeguarding Officer, ensuring that all safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.Deliver training and professional development to staff on best practices for supporting SEMH pupils.
The Ideal Candidate:A passionate and experienced practitioner with a deep understanding of SEMH and a strong commitment to inclusion.Proven leadership skills, with experience in leading teams and supporting colleagues in developing best practices for SEMH provision.A clear belief in high aspirations for all pupils and a commitment to ensuring every child reaches their full potential.Strong knowledge of safeguarding policies and practices, with previous experience as a Designated Safeguarding Officer.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with a determination to overcome barriers to learning and emotional well-being.Relevant qualifications in SEN, SEMH, or related fields and a commitment to ongoing professional development
