We are looking for an experienced and proactive Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to oversee and manage the maintenance of a high-profile pharmaceutical facility’s outdoor spaces in Liverpool. This full-time role offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum.
Your Role:
As the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor, you will take a hands-on and leadership role to ensure the facility’s outdoor areas are maintained to the highest standard. Key responsibilities include:
* Team Supervision: Leading and managing a team of groundskeepers, ensuring efficient allocation of tasks and quality work. Providing guidance, training, and support to team members to maintain high performance.
* Grounds Management: Overseeing the maintenance of lawns, landscaped areas, flowerbeds, and pathways. Ensuring all outdoor spaces meet strict health, safety, and aesthetic standards required for a pharmaceutical site.
* Operational Planning: Creating and managing schedules for routine and seasonal maintenance tasks. Monitoring the use and maintenance of groundskeeping tools and equipment.
* Health and Safety: Ensuring all tasks comply with health and safety regulations, particularly within the context of a pharmaceutical environment. Conducting regular risk assessments and addressing potential hazards promptly.
* Communication and Reporting: Liaising with facilities management and other stakeholders to align groundskeeping activities with site requirements. Providing updates and reports on grounds maintenance activities and team performance.
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in grounds maintenance, combined with leadership or supervisory experience. Other key attributes include:
* Strong knowledge of horticulture, landscaping techniques, and groundskeeping best practices.
* Hands-on experience with groundskeeping tools, machinery, and equipment.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and attention to detail.
* Familiarity with health and safety regulations, particularly in a commercial or pharmaceutical setting.
Preferred qualifications:
* Relevant certifications in horticulture, landscaping, or equipment use (e.g., PA1/PA6 spraying licence).
* A valid UK driving licence.
