My client is an M&E Contractor based in Essex.
Since their conception in 2016, they now employ over 50 people in the business and have a turnover of over £7 million.
They specialise in live environment projects, which include Museums, Hospitals, Banks, and Football Stadiums across Essex, Central London & Canary Wharf.
Project values generally fall between £200k - £800k.
They are seeking an Electrical Site Supervisor on a Temp to Perm basis.
THE JOB – Electrical Site Supervisor
Monday – Friday / 7am – 4pm
You will initially be based on a Hospital Refurbishment Project in Essex, looking after a team of 4 Electricians and reporting to the Electrical Project Manager. The project is expected to be completed in December 2025.
CIS RATE = £215 - £240 per day / SALARY = TBD
Duties:
1. Supervising Electrical Work: Ensuring that all electrical work on-site is performed according to the plans, codes, and specifications. Monitoring the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.
2. Managing the Workforce: Overseeing electricians and other workers on-site, delegating tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring safety practices are followed.
3. Quality Control: Inspecting electrical installations for compliance with standards and codes, ensuring all work meets industry and safety standards.
4. Safety Management: Ensuring all work is carried out safely, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring that workers use the correct safety gear and follow safety protocols.
5. Material and Equipment Management: Managing the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment needed for the job, ensuring they are available on time and in the correct quantities.
6. Liaising with Contractors: Communicating with project managers, engineers, and contractors to discuss progress, delays, or any issues on the site.
7. Progress Reporting: Keeping records of work completed, reporting on project progress, and highlighting any problems or delays to senior management.
8. Scheduling: Creating and managing the work schedule to ensure electrical tasks are completed within the project’s timeline.
The Candidate:
1. Must have experience working within live environments
2. Be competent within Electrical and come from an Electrician background
3. 18th Edition
4. Gold or Black CSCS Card
5. Public Liability Insurance
