Position:
In the position as a Senior Interior Designer, the role involves leading the development and execution of high-quality interior design projects in collaboration with architects and designers across multiple disciplines. Key responsibilities include delivering innovative and functional designs that meet client expectations while enhancing their spaces. The position requires direct client interaction, effective team leadership, and ensuring projects are completed within established timelines and budgets. Reporting to the Head of Design, this role is pivotal in driving projects forward, with a strong emphasis on the commercial workplace sector.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will have several years of experience in the commercial sector, with a recent focus on workplace design. They will excel in understanding client objectives and translating them into functional, creative designs. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with clients, vendors, and team members to meet project requirements.
They will possess advanced proficiency in creating compelling presentations, including 3D visuals, 2D drawings, mock-ups, and renderings, to convey design concepts effectively. Expertise in detailed documentation using Revit, along with familiarity with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, is required.
The candidate will have a proven track record of delivering projects of various scales and budgets, both on-site and remotely, with a solid understanding of building regulations and RIBA stages. A deep knowledge of product design, materials, and finishes, combined with a forward-thinking approach, is key. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, including experience managing a small team of designers, are essential, along with the ability to stay informed about industry trends and innovations.
