Job Title: Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant & Midday Meals Supervisor

Hours: 27.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
• 22.5 hours as Teaching Assistant
• 5 hours as Midday Meals Supervisor
Working Hours: 09:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday (with a 1-hour lunch break)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic school team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a class team and contribute to a safe and supportive learning environment, under the guidance of the Teacher and Senior Teaching Assistant. You will play a key role in supporting children with additional needs and promoting inclusive learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support children both in the classroom and on an individual basis, particularly those with additional needs.
2. Supervise children during playtimes and lunch breaks.
3. Provide assistance with physical activities, including swimming and PE.
4. Help manage challenging behaviour in a calm and positive manner.
5. Work collaboratively with teaching staff and fellow team members to deliver a high standard of education.
6. Foster a positive, inclusive environment to ensure all children can reach their potential.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs, is an advantage.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work flexibly.
3. A strong commitment to teamwork and achieving the best outcomes for students.
4. High expectations for learning and a passion for promoting inclusion and helping children overcome barriers to education.
5. Ability to be flexible in meeting the needs of the children and the school.

Additional Information:
1. This role involves regular contact with children. An Enhanced Disclosure through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be required.
2. The successful candidate will undergo a health check and reference verification.
3. The post is permanent and subject to a satisfactory probation period.
