You will be based at a Primary School which is part of the Harmony Trust. The Harmony Trust is a multi-academy and school led organisation based in Oldham and Derby. The Trust was set up in February 2014 with its core aim being to raise attainment in local schools. The Harmony Trust has the highest aspirations for its pupils, parents and staff members. We work hard to ensure that every child achieves.

Responsibilities:
* Being responsible for supporting child initiated and adult led activities based around the needs and interests of each individual child.
* Supporting the observation and assessment of the children.
* Working as part of a team to ensure each child feels safe and secure.
* Working in partnership with colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals.
* Having a duty of care and following relevant safeguarding procedures.
* To uphold and promote the values and the ethos of the school.
* To implement and uphold the policies, procedures and codes of practice of the School, including relating to customer care, finance, data protection, ICT, health & safety, anti-bullying and safeguarding/child protection.
* To take a pro-active approach to health and safety, working with others in the school to minimise and mitigate potential hazards and risks, and actively contribute to the security of the school.
* To participate and engage with workplace learning and development opportunities, subject to the schools training plan, working to continually improve own performance and that of the team/school.
* To attend and participate in relevant meetings as appropriate.
* To undertake any other additional duties commensurate with the grade of the post.
Working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm. 30 minutes lunch break. 35 hours per week. 39 weeks per year - term time only.
