The Team:
The Asset Servicing Reconciliation Team is a dedicated group of professionals who ensure that all BlackRock position data is accurate for critical processes including investment management, analytics, compliance, and regulatory. The role requires an understanding of the mechanics of the reconciliation process, exception management, troubleshooting issues, driving innovative enhancements, data analysis, maintaining documentation, assisting management in leading processes, and recommending improvements to ensure efficient and accurate processes.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
* Completing day-to-day assigned tasks including control reports and position break resolution.
* Providing high-quality client service, addressing inquiries, performing controls, resolving problems, and mitigating risks.
* Preparing and/or reviewing reconciliations between BlackRock, Asset Manager, and Custodian Bank.
* Performing ongoing maintenance of existing accounts to reflect client or account level changes.
* Working with external service providers and internal team members to resolve identified issues.
* Assisting in special projects and initiatives to improve service offerings.
* Evaluating processes for inefficiencies and making recommendations for improvement.
* Raising material risk items and service issues in a timely manner.
* Coaching and mentoring team members to encourage high performance standards.
* Demonstrating ability to self-improve and develop.
Skills Required:
* Strong decision-making skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task and perform in a high-demand environment.
* Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
* Ability to work in a sophisticated, team-oriented environment.
* Strong understanding of equity and fixed income securities and derivative products.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Preferred:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or similar field.
* Understanding of upstream processes impacting reconciliation.
* Data Analytics skills including coding (VBA, SQL, PYTHON, Power BI) preferred.
