If you have answered YES to the above, we have the opportunity for you to join our team based at our Devizes hospital and be one of our committed Patient Administrators too This is a Bank / Casual position, offering ad-hoc shifts per week Monday to Friday; 06.45-14.45 08.00-16.00 09.00-17.00 Saturday's; 06.45-11.45 or 11.45-close Main duties of the job Being a Patient Administrator, will see you working in a small team, your requirements will be split between front of house reception area and the back office. You'll meet and greet patients and visitors at reception, ensuring they are in the right place and booked in and met by the correct person they are due to meet with. You'll be managing the booking and potential cancellations, including all the following ups, documentation, communication and notification that would be involved. Youll be following the Patient Pathway and keep track of their movements between departments. You'll answer and document phone calls from patients, GP surgeries and other hospital departments on all aspects relating to booking appointments, patient admissions and patient referral letters. Through successful training, our Patients Administrators are very knowledgeable and you being confident, will also be providing advice in all matters relating to patient appointments. Youll be scheduling patients for surgery, co-ordinating and aligning dates and ensuring that the patient meets the criteria required before hand with assistance from the clinical teams. Another important requirement of this position would be the booking of outpatient sessions, using the strict booking guidelines adhering to breach dates and ensuring optimal utilisation of clinic, theatre lists and gathering patient information where appropriate for outpatient clinics. About us We see the appointed Bank Patient Administrator coming from a very similar background, carrying out effective administration tasks relating to patients or a large customer base. You will be an effective communicator at all levels both written and verbal and will have strong IT skills able to pick up new systems easily. Multi-tasking will be second nature to you as you will have examples of having had to juggle multiple tasks at the same time. Youll be focus and committed on your delivery of set tasks and requirements, always looking to achieve a very good standard of work, if not higher.
