New long-term Document Controller vacancy in Essex!!
1. Position: Document Controller
2. Location: Harlow, Essex
3. Contract type: Freelance / Temporary
4. Start date: ASAP (August 2024)
5. Working hours: 7:30am - 4:30pm (Mon - Fri)
6. Duration: until June 2027
7. Pay rate: £14.50phr plus holiday (PAYE)
The project:
A new build scheme valued in excess of £30 million which is due to complete in June 2027. The project is approx 1-2 miles from the main Harlow train station for those wishing to use public transport.
Duties include:
8. Site based document control e.g. managing drawings on the Hub and Ops Centre co-ordination as and when required on data control systems
9. Make sure that all data records of information is kept up to date and everyone is able to access it
10. Liaise closely with designers with queries regarding issues of the drawings
11. Assisting the team with any site administration including typing, printing, keeping spreadsheets up to date, filing etc
12. Coordinate training to designers, participants and specialist suppliers on the project with how to use the drawing management system
13. Issue with the information and ensure compliance procedures with the design management are followed
14. Supply advice and feedback on difference procedures of any issues and methods with using the systems.
About you:
15. Experience using document control systems (4Projects or Sharepoint)
16. Confident with chasing and liaising with site personnel
17. Team player
18. Ability to learn new systems
19. Strong attention to minor details within paperwork
20. Previous experience within a Document Control role
21. Be comfortable working within a construction project setting
