Job summary The Respiratory Support Unit at Calderdale Royal is looking for a hard working, friendly individual to join our team as a ward clerk. You must have excellent communication skills, and be computer literate. Knowledge of EPR systems would be beneficial and you must be able to embrace new ways of learning. The successful candidate will have a responsibility to answer the phones, communicate professionally with family members, and work closely with all staff across the multidisciplinary team. Main duties of the job The post holder is responsible for providing all clerical/admin and secretarial support to ward staff, including a good working knowledge of all Trust electronic systems. The post holder is required to deal with queries from patients, visitors and staff. You must be friendly, and welcoming to all individuals visiting the ward, as you will often be the first person to greet them. You will have a responsibility to obtain patient feedback through friends and family responses, and be able to feedback results to members of the team.
