Job Title: Paralegal Department: Legal Reporting to: General Counsel and Company Secretary/Global Purpose of the Role To assist the Jimmy Choo Legal Department within the Capri Holdings Group, working closely with the Corporate Counsel and General Counsel to ensure that various administration duties are completed to a high standard with a focus on intellectual property, commercial contracts, property and company secretarial matters. Key Responsibilities and Duties Intellectual Property/Brand Protection: Design registrations and design patents, trademark certificates: keeping track of all trademark certificates, designs and ensuring that these are filed Arranging signatures from designers on legal assignment documents Collating information from other departments to provide evidence of use for trademarks Checking names of product styles (trademark searches etc.) Liaising with the Capri Brand Protection Team and reviewing reports from our brand protection partners and completing action points where necessary Commercial contracts: Reviewing NDAs and updating franchise agreements and commercial contracts (formatting and making amendments under instruction) Company secretarial: Filing board minutes and arranging for signature of such documents to ensure internal corporate governance /filing and maintenance of the statutory registers Updating the corporate summary book/files Liaising with external law firms (under instruction) for any director changes and powers of attorney Property: Maintaining and updating the property leases database and liaising with our translation office where necessary Filing and general admin: Maintaining the relevant systems in place, including the legal filing, archiving, legal databases Assisting with the General Counsel’s office including travel arrangements and expenses Applying e-signatures, scanning and photocopying of various legal documents Keeping Group up to date with contracts/minutes and preparing/reviewing contract approval forms Collection and sorting of the post. Arranging couriers, mail out and processing DHL/Fed-Ex Updating the Legal Department Handbook(s) Liaising with Capri legal offices around the world Skills, Experience and Qualifications Legal work experience Administration experience would be desirable Law degree required/LPC preferable Highly competent user of MS Office packages, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and interpersonal skills, oral and written Ability to work on own initiative/self-starter — At Capri, we are all responsible for creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
